3rdfloor project news

**A very special thanks to everyone that came out to the release party.
Y'all're the greatest, just like Cat Power says.**

02.12.06 OUR COMMUNICATION SKILLS ARE ABOMINABLE.
We've left you hanging, and for that we apologize. 3rdfloor is still in operation, but our brief hiatus extended slightly longer than we anticipated. The good news: it's over! We'll be back with a spankin' new baby-fresh issue in the very near future, thanks to a very generous grant by AEPOCH. We're delighted to be fiscally sponsored by them. Also, look for a purty website from us very soon, with a slightly more, um, professional edge. Hooray!

In the meantime, please keep submitting work for the 5th issue. More info about that here.

19.05.06 GO SEE WORKS ON PAPER.
Tomorrow, Saturday 20 May, is the opening for Flux Factory's Works on Paper exhibit/auction. Come for the live music, come for the chance to purchase art affordably, come to support a kickass arts organization. See if you can spot a piece by one of your humble editors. More info here. Also, be on the lookout for some work by Fluxer Kerry Downey in our 5th issue.

01.05.06 YAY!
Happy May Day. The IRS recently informed us that we now qualify as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which we are extremely overjoyed about. No, really, we're still getting butterflies over here. There's a few more kinks to iron out before we'll be eligible to receive grant money, but we hope to get issue #5 out to you very, very soon. We'll be more specific about that when we know more. In the meantime, please keep submitting to issue #5, the deadline has been extended to June 30th, 2006. All your contributions are now tax deductible, so keep 'em coming!

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization providing a space for radical artistic dialogue. Your contribution goes directly towards printing the magazine and making it cheaply available.
